Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath resigns ahead of floor test in the state assembly

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has resigned ahead of the floor test in the state assembly today. In a press conference in Bhopal a short while ago, he announced his resignation as Chief Minister of the state.

He said that
he is going to Raj Bhawan to submit his resignation to Governor Lal ji Tandon.
Supreme Court had yesterday directed to conduct the floor test in Madhya
Pradesh assembly by 5 pm today and the floor test proceedings were to begin at
2:00 pm.
