Locals protest over VMSS encroachment team demolition drive in Vadodara

Locals protest as VMSS encroachment team started their demolition drive on around 197 hutments coming in the road towards Chayapuri railway station in Chhani area of Vadodara city.

The people are protesting about not giving any alternative place and sit in front of the JCB machines. Heated arguments also happened with the police on the matter as they swung into action to remove them from the spot. Later the demolition drive resumed after the agitators were removed from there.

On 17th December the new look Chayapuri railway station is going to be inaugurated by the railways. Before that the VMSS carried out the drive to remove around 197 hutments on Channi police station to Chayapuri 15 meters road.

The residents were given notice earlier but they are not vacating the houses nor they demolish the structures on their own. So the VMSS starts their drive to demolish and clean the area.

Locals demand for alternative place for them from the officials and raised their protest against the drive.
