Locals of Shastri bridge area demand primary health center

Locals have demanded to start a health center near Shastri Bridge in Vadodara city. They submitted an application to the municipal commissioner demanding to start a primary health center amidst Coronavirus scare.

The locals said, in view of current Corona pandemic situation, people of Shastri Bridge area have to go to Navayard to take medicine. Earlier, there was a primary health center at Shastri Bridge but it was closed and shifted to Navayard area.

As a rule, there should be one primary health center for a population of 50 thousand. Shastri Bridge has a population of more than 20,000 people live in the area and have to go all the way to Navayard to take medicine.

As the whole world is fighting Corona and seasonal diseases are also raising their head, it is then necessary to build a primary health center near Shastri Bridge. The centre will be beneficial for the people of the area.

Locals further said that the corona pandemic in creating a scare in Vadodara and with increasing cases people are now worried more about their health. As there is no primary health center facility in the Shastri Bridge area, people have to go to the primary health center at Navayard for treatment of various ailments which also including Covid testing.

It is also causing financial cost to the people. They said, Primary health centers have been started in Amarpur town and they demand to start a primary health center in Shastri Bridge area also.

A large number of people from the area came to the office of Khanderao Market to hand over the application to the Municipal Commissioner for starting a primary health center in the Shastri Bridge area.

The people who came to make the presentation followed the guideline of Covid-19 and reached the office of the corporation. They request to start a primary health center in the Shastri Bridge area at the earliest.
