A SpiceJet aircraft operating between Delhi and Jabalpur returned to the national capital on Saturday morning after the crew noticed smoke in the cabin, a spokesperson of the airline said.
He added that the smoke was noticed when the aircraft was flying at a height of 5,000 feet and that all passengers had been disembarked safely at Delhi airport.
A video of passengers in the flight filled with smoke was tweeted by sources .
This is the second incident reported in 15 days. On June 19, a Delhi-bound SpiceJet plane, carrying 185 passengers and six crew members, made an emergency landing in Patna on Sunday afternoon, minutes after its take-off, as its cabin crew witnessed sparks coming from an engine, a senior government official said.
