In the view of Omicron threat, Airport authority of India said that it is mandatory for all the international traveller coming from "at-risk" countries will now have to compulsorily pre-book RTPCR TEST. Test will be conducted as per guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This test will undergo on the passenger's arrival and the passengers who will not pre-book their RTPCR test will not be allowed to board their flights.

In the first phase, Six airports of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad will have this arrangements from 20th December.

On the list of "at-risk" countries UK, South Africa, Brazil, China, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, Israel, Tanzania, Mauritius, Botswana and Ghana are included as per the health Ministry.

Air Suvidha portal will be modified accordingly for the passengers to mandatorily pre-book the RT-PCR test if they are coming from 'at-risk' countries or have visited 'at-risk' countries in the last 14 days, a link to the airport website would be provided in online platform which would be displayed to passengers while filling up the self-declaration form.
