Maharashtra: 31% Hike in bus travel bookings for festive weekend

There has been a 31% surge in travel reservations during the extended Independence Day - Raksha Bandhan weekend in Mumbai and the rest of the state, latest statistics provided by private bus operators showed.

Private bus operators are preparing to accommodate the burgeoning demand by providing 4,571 bus services, which is an increase compared to the I-Day weekend last year.

The state has observed a substantial increase in bookings from August 17 to 19.
