Indonesia introduces stricter visa laws

Indonesia has introduced stricter visa regulations, significantly increasing penalties for tourists who violate immigration laws.

Under the new rules, visa offenses that previously carried sentences of up to a year can now lead to imprisonment of up to 20 years.

The government aims to protect its immigration system and crack down on illegal activities. Tourists following visa rules, such as the standard 30-day or 60-day extensions, won’t be affected.
