Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq, recently accompanied by a team of administrative officials, surveyed the picturesque area near the Kol Dam.

With its waters remaining steady throughout the year, Kol Dam presents a unique opportunity for continuous tourism, a feature that has not gone unnoticed.

If reports are to go by, the vision for Bhohat Kasol is grand. A meticulous action plan is being crafted to develop the village into a comprehensive tourist destination.

The potential of Bhohat Kasol is evident. Recent trends show a growing interest in lesser-known destinations in Himachal Pradesh, with Solan recently surpassing Shimla as a popular tourist hotspot.

This shift suggests a burgeoning appreciation for the state's hidden gems.

The year 2024 has seen a remarkable surge in tourism, with over 74 lakh visitors arriving between January and May, a 3.5% increase from the previous year. 

Notably, the number of foreign tourists has risen significantly, from 23,174 in 2023 to 32,415 in 2024, highlighting the region’s increasing allure on the global stage.
