According to Hindu culture, Kheer is believed to be a pious delight and this is the reason why it is offered as prasad in most rituals and pujas. Kheer is a delectable dessert recipe, which can be prepared anytime.
However, Rasiyaw is not much different from an usual rice, the only difference is the addition of jaggery, which makes it abisltely indulgent and healthy.
Also, it is believed that Chhath Puja celebrations are incomplete without this delicious dessert-Rasiyaw. Prepare this delicacy and add some sweetness to your celebrations.
Ingredients of Rasiyaw (Gur ki Kheer)

1/2 cup basmati rice
1 1/2 cup powdered jaggery
1 teaspoon ground,powdered green cardamom
1 1/2 litre milk
For Garnishing
1/4 cup cashews
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup raisins
How to make Rasiyaw (Gur ki Kheer)
Step 1 Boil the milk
To prepare this delicious kheer recipe, take a bowl and soak rice for 2 hour. Now, place a deep-bottomed pan over medium flame, add milk in it and bring it to a boil. After the boil, add the soaked rice to the pan. Keep stirring the ingredients over low flame.
Step 2 Add cardamom powder
Then, add cardamom powder to the pan and mix well. Once the mixture begins to thicken, add the jaggery powder and mix well all the ingredients and turn off the flame.
Step 3 Add in the dry fruits and nuts
Top it well with almonds, raisins, cashews and serve warm with love. Enjoy your dessert!
