New Update

The National Health Service (NHS) of the United Kingdom is currently facing a critical shortage of medical professionals, prompting the introduction of a bold initiative.

This new program seeks to address the shortfall by recruiting a substantial cohort of 2,000 doctors from India.

The announcement has sparked considerable interest among Indian medical professionals eager to explore international career prospects.

Nonetheless, before enthusiastically pursuing this avenue, it is imperative for doctors to gain a comprehensive understanding of the prerequisites and regulations governing medical practice in the UK.Addressing the Staffing Shortage

Industry sources report that the NHS will offer postgraduate training specifically designed for the first wave of recruited Indian doctors.

This tailored program, lasting between 6 and 12 months, will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to smoothly integrate into the UK healthcare system.

Upon successful completion, these doctors will be exempt from the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) test, a major hurdle for overseas doctors seeking UK registration.
