The state government has started mobile veterinary clinic per 10 villages for the treatment of animals. 17 such hospitals have been started by Animal Husbandry Department in Vadodara district, which is truly becoming a blessing for animals and their keepers.

The mobile veterinary hospital (MVD) of Dabhoi taluka includes Amareshwar village. On Monday Dr. Chirag Parmar and pilot Tousif Pathan of mobile veterinary hospital in Simlia are on visit to the village as per their schedule in the morning. Suddenly they received a call from Ramubhai Thakor of this village about his buffalo suddenly get labour pain and need to be attended immediately.

He immediately met the doctor who was in the village and talked about the problem of his animal. Dr. Chirag Parmar started treating the buffalo, but during the treatment he found out that the delivery of the buffalo was very painful, which is called dystocia. "It was Pre Partum Prolatse and near delivery. It was challenging for us as the calf is big. We control the Prolatse and with hard work of two hours, safely complete the delivery. It was life threatening for the calf as little delay will lead to death for both," Said Dr. Chirag.

He further added that this is rare of cases as it's the first delivery of buffalo and the animal is costly. Their deaths left a impact on the owner. The cattle keeper thanked the doctor, 1962 and MVD for their service.

In Vadodara district so far 69187 animals have been treated free of cost by the mobile veterinary hospital. These include 17948 cases of medical emergency, 33346 cases of medicine supply, 13022 cases of surgery, 2909 cases of obstetrics and 1962 other cases.
