Fashion history took an unexpected turn at FDCI India Couture Week 2024 when designer Tarun Tahiliani pulled off a never-before-seen move repeating his show due to a seating fiasco.

The seventh day of the event, usually a parade of high fashion, turned into a dramatic display of haute couture and organizational mayhem.

Tahiliani’s ‘Otherworldly’ collection, a breathtaking blend of traditional Indian artistry and contemporary flair, was the centerpiece of the evening.

However, the glamour was overshadowed by chaos outside The Ashok venue in Delhi, where around 300 notable personalities from the fashion and entertainment world found themselves locked out due to limited seating.

In a twist that had everyone talking, Tahiliani made the bold decision to repeat his show, becoming the first designer to ever do so.

According to model Ujjwal Dhir, who strutted down the runway both times, the models were generously compensated with an additional 50% on their usual payment for their second appearance.
