Whenever anyone of family goes missing, problems and difficulties make place in life. Tandel family of Bilimora in Gujarat is currently facing same trouble because they have lost two of family members recently, and look who came forward to help them.

Yes its police as always, but this time with more effectiveness by using digital technologies.

In a unique initiative by Shamsher Singh, Inspector General of police Surat range, a campaign has been started to reunite the missing family members. This campaign is running with the recent most effective media and that is social media. Surat police has made accounts and handles on various social media platforms and by using same they are spreading missing persons picture and details on the network.

“In this digital world power of social media is more than any other media while the range of distribution is much more then television and print media hence we have decided to use this media for a cause of finding missing person and to reunite the family,” said a senior police officer while sharing in thoughts with connect Gujarat.

The recent tweet by @IGP_Surat includes information that mother, daughter from Bilimora are missing. Mother named Tinaben Tandel (Age 27) living in Menghar village near Kantha area of Bilimora is missing with her daughter (Age 5) from 10th November, Thursday.

According to the police sources, they both went to flour mill from house and did not return back to the home. The woman knows Gujarati Language also added in a tweet.

“Police always works hard in such cases but taking help from social media will prove more helpful” said a senior officer.

People having any information regarding these missing persons they may contact to Dhollai Marin Police and also to the nearby police station.
