Konark Desert Bicycle Expedition – 2020 under the aegis of Konark Corps was flagged off by Lieutenant General Anil Puri, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding Konark Corps from Jodhpur on 03 March 2020. The expedition team comprising of twenty members would cycle over the rugged rural terrain along the border areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat over a distance of 1750 Kms.

The expedition is planned over a period of 10 days and would commence from Jodhpur, Pokhran, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Suigam, Bhuj, Santalpur, Abu Road, Pali before finally culminating back at Jodhpur.

The expedition aims at paying tribute to the Veterans of the Armed Forces for their selfless service and supreme sacrifice made during their glorious service and also to reach out to Veer Naaris to honour them. It will inculcate the spirit of adventure and spread awareness of health and fitness amongst all, especially school children. The expedition also aims at reiterating the illustrious martial history of Rajasthan to motivate the local youth to join the Indian Armed Forces.
