Started
project Chahak to feed the birds twice in a day
COVID 19 is
spreading as a Global epidemic and so far there is no vaccine to cure this
virus and the only way to prevent is through care and maintain social distance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21 days lockdown with a message
“Stay home, be safe, avoid unnecessary exit” to fight Corona.
However in this difficult time animals are the most prone as they don’t get regular feeding from the people like in normal days. To help them Kheda district police started a unique project Chahak under the leadership of SP Divya Mishra. Under this project the police will feed the birds two times in a day and for that 22 spots are identified in the district.
Birds are an
integral part of nature and it is also our moral duty to take care of them
during these difficult times. The Kheda District Police has shown a unique
sensitivity towards the birds along with keeping the law and order in lock-down
situation.
It is worth
mentioning here that the Kheda police project, ‘Shubhashish’ to help the eledey
citizens living alone in the midst of lockdown has been receiving widespread
welcome in Kheda district. Now the project to feed the birds shows the
humanitarian side of the police while maintaining the law and order in the
district.
