Karmbhoomi to Janambhoomi NCC cycle expedition flagged off from Dandi reached Vadodara

The ‘Karmbhoomi to Janambhoomi’ cycle rally was jointly flagged off from National Salt Satyagraha Memorial, Dandi reached Vadodara on Saturday. The rally propagate the message of Mahatama Gandhi was flagged in by Colonel Rahul Shrivastava and Colonel Naveen Kumar at 3 Guj Bn NCC, near NCC Group Headquarter. The aim of the expedition is to rekindle and refresh the Gandhian Philosophy among the youth and denizens of the state.

Each cadet comprises of five girls and six boys of the core group cycling team is concentrating on one of the Vows of Gandhiji. All eleven cadets thus specialize in Truth, Ahimsa, Brahmacharya, Control of Palate, Non Stealing, Non Possession, Fearlessness, Removal of Untouchability, Bread Labour, Equality of Religion and Swadeshi.

The expedition also aims at spreading the awareness amongst the youth about the importance of being fit coupled with non use of junk food. Cadets, through this vow of Gandhiji will highlight and support the Fit India campaign also.

There cadets will cover a distance of 800 Kms and cycling almost 75-80 kms every day for 11 days. They are carrying the 11 vows of Mahatma Gandhi and spreading the message to the people to follow in their lives.
