A telly-wood actress from Vadodara is supporting and helping the girls saved from prostitution.
Kanishka Soni is associated with the NGO and helping the girls in rehabilitation by donate money and clothes to them.
The multi-talented actress who have done social, Mythological and crime based shows in television is also very active in social work and took out time to extend her support. After being a part of Save the girl child campaign the beautiful actress is now supporting the girls who are forced into prostitution and rescued by a NGO called ‘Rescue Foundation’ in Mumbai.
“I have been associated with this foundation since last 4-5 years. I donate them clothes and financially help them and whatever I can do. I also try to help them in other ways and go in weekends to their kandivali branch and spend time with them. It gives me happiness when i see smile on their faces. They are very talented and I Sing and dance along with them to spread some smile on their faces. It’s very sad to know that how they are thrown into forced prostitution with girls as young as 5 to 8 years old,” said Soni.
Rescue foundation is a registered, non-profit NGO working for rescue, rehabilitation & repatriation of victims of human trafficking and subjected to Commercial sexual exploitation. The foundation is involved in rescuing such victims and rehabilate them and also helping to regain their human rights.
“Its really a proud moment for me to met this BRAVE WARRIOR named Triveni Acharya who rescue girls from forced prostitution takes care and rehabilitates them. I am also doing whatever I can and also plan to organised live shows to collect funds for the girls,” said Soni.
Soni is a well known face after doing shows like Do dil ek Jaan, Diya aur Baati, Mahadev, Mahabharat and crime shows like CID, Savdhan India, Crime Patrol and others. After acting she is now concentrating on her singing career and also sung a song in a upcoming bollywood movie.
“After modelling and acting I am now concentrating on my singing career and sung my first song in the upcoming Bollywood movie M.A. Pass. I will now concentrate on singing and later down the lane accept the acting assignments which is close to my heart. I also started a company ‘Kaso Muzik’ to encourage the new talent who comes in Mumbai to make a career but not aware about how to approach,” said Soni who follows Buddhism and accept that it changes her life. She also made a permanent tattoo on her back showing Buddhism.
