Senior IPS officer A  K Patnaik has been appointed as CEO of Integrated Intelligence Grid (Natgrid). The appointments committee of the cabinet approved the appointment for CEO of Natgrid.

According to official order issued by government, he was appointed as new Chief Executive Officer of Natgrid till his retirement date from the service December 31, 2018.

A K  Patnaik, a 1983 batch IPS officer from Gujarat. He gave his services to the IB (Intelligence Bureau)  for over 28 years, currently posted as Additional Bureau.

The NATGRID is the integrated intelligence grid connecting database of core security agencies of the Government of India. It was first proposed after the terrorist attacks on Mumbai in 2008.

Further to know about him that, he is the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
