Two infants of 8 months and 17 months discharged from hospital

A special unit for children having suspicious symptoms is functioning at Gotri Covid hospital headed by Dr. Nimisha Pandya. On Mother’s Day, 8 months old son and 17 months old daughter gives their mothers a true gift as both were discharged from the hospital after fully recovered from the disease.

Eight months old boy is from Halol Limdi Falia and 17 months old girl is from Nagarwada in Vadodara. The children were infected due to the elders of their family.

The girl’s mother expressed her happiness and thanked the doctors and staff and said, all the reports of her daughter were received on time, regular check-ups and good treatment, food was also taken care of by the team during treatment.

Dr. Gautam Shah of the Pediatrics Department said that so far 8 cases of Corona positive children have been reported and out of which 6 were cured. Currently one is undergoing treatment and one child has died.

Dr. Nimisha Pandya and Dr. Divya Dave along with Assistant Professors Dr. Ritesh Parmar, Dr. Lalit Nainiwal, Dr. Putun Patel, Dr. Gautam Shah and staff are working to save the lives of children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Vinod Rao, Officer on Special Duty and Education Secretary gives the happy news about the discharge of patients. He said, as per the newly announced National Guideline for Covid on Sunday 4 from Gotri, 8 from Sayaji, 13 from Ajwa Road ITI and 16 from HSRTI was released. On Saturday 52 patients were discharged and thus a total of 93 people recovered in two days bring the recovery rate to 55 per cent. The rate of people undergoing treatment is 39 per cent while the death rate is 6 per cent.
