Jinson and Dharambir qualifies for Rio in men’s 800m & 200m respectively

Bengaluru: India’s Jinson Johnson has qualified for the Rio Olympics in the men’s 800 meter sprint at the Indian Grand Prix in Bengaluru on 11th July 2016.

As per the qualification mark for Rio being 1:46:00 seconds, Johnson completed his 800 m path in 1:45:98 seconds for the qualification at Rio.

Where another sprinter Dharambir Singh qualified for the Rio Olympics in the men’s 200 meter sprint at Bengaluru on Monday. Singh finished his run with a time of 20.45 seconds where qualification time was 20.50 seconds.

July 11, 2016 was the last day for qualifications, more than 100 sports persons already qualified from India for the Rio Olympics. This is the first time where more than 100 Indians will take part at the event.
