Villagers destroyed the den and showed their ire against the police

Villagers strikes on the country made liquor den operational near the banks of Dev river passing from Vyara village in Waghodia. During the janta raid the villagers destroyed the den and showed their ire against the police for not taking action against them.

As per the details liquor den was operational near the Dev river for quite some time and the villagers of Vyara approached the police many times in the past to take action. However with no response from their side the villagers decides to take the matter in their hands and conducted a janta raid on the illegal liquor dens. They destroyed the dens and informed the Waghodia police and they reached the spot in no time. The alleged liquor makers fled from the scene after the villagers arrived there.

As per villagers the liquor pouches are delivered to Vyara and other nearby villages from the spot and Sulphate urea was used to prepare the liquor in the den. People died after consuming such poisonous liquor and many people fell prey to the addiction. They put allegation on the police for not taking any action on such illegal liquor dens.

Waghodia police said they reached the spot after people of Vyara village informed them about the illegal liquor den. The den was destroyed and a complaint is registered against the bootlegger involved in making the liquor. They also said about taking strict action against such activities in Waghodia taluka.
