In IPL Cricket, Kings XI Punjab recorded a thrilling last-ball 8-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore at Sharjah last night.

Opting to bat first, Bangalore posted a total of 171 for 6 in 20 overs with the help of Skipper Virat Kohli’s 48 off 39. For Punjab, Mohammed Shami and Murugan Ashwin accounted for two dismissals apiece.

In reply, Punjab chased down the target on the final ball of the match riding on Skipper KL Rahul’s unbeaten 61 off 49, Chris Gayle’s 53 off 45 and Mayank Agarwal’s 45 off 25 balls. In today’s encounter, Kolkata Knight Riders will clash with Mumbai Indians at Abu Dhabi.
