International conference on spreading peace with sports in Vadodara

“Peace is the foundation for everything and as a sportsmen we are the best ambassadors to talk about peace and sports,” said Daba Modibo Keita Taekwondo world champion on his first visit to Baroda as well as India. He is the part of the delegation on visit here for International conference on peace with sports.

The delegation comprises of representatives and sportsmen from America, Africa, Hungary, Greece and others reached Gujarat Public School for the International conference on the subject of peace and sports.

The idea is to join the schools through sports to spread the message of world peace. They kick start the event by trying their hand on the game of cricket and interacting with the students.

“It’s my first visit to the country and for me peace is the foundation for everything be it education, development, sports and others. Being a world champion is like representing my country as well as be available for the world and countries like India. What i am doing for India is just like doing for my country. We athletes are best role models and are the best ambassadors to talk about peace and sports,” said Keita.

The two day International Conference will focus on the world peace through sports and education. The delegates will focus on the blue print and how to manage resources in the session like development of sports internationally and signing MOU with various educational institutes.

BRG group enters the group of World Schools Sports Club Alliance (WSSCA) and now working towards spreading the message of peace and sports.
