After the Reports regarding interrupted supply of Oxygen in SSG Hospital, an inquiry committee was appointed to investigate in the matter.The committee submitted a preliminary report to the OSD stating that there was no shortage of oxygen. It has been decided to install a liquid oxygen tank at Sayaji Hospital in the next 3-4 days after the incident of lack of oxygen.
Sayaji Hospital is the largest in Central Gujarat and thousands of patients from Central Gujarat, including Vadodara prefers to get treatment here. Currently thousands of patients are being treated at the hospital and many of these patients are under oxygen.
Meanwhile there were reports of interrupted supply of oxygen late on Friday night which makes the officials to rush and arranged the cylinders.
After coming across the incident regarding oxygen cylinders, the officer on special duty Dr. Vinod Rao had appointed an inquiry committee to look into the matter.
Dr. Rao informed, today there were reports regarding interrupted supply of Oxygen in SSG Hospital. I have instructed Ashok Patel CEO VUDA & Administrator Gotri Hospital, Dr Minoo Patel Advisor COVID Management and Dr Pathakjee Regional Deputy Director of Health to inspect SSG Hospital and enquire into this complaint.
Today morning the Committee visited SSG Hospital and interracted with Dr Swati Bhatt Professor & Head of Anaesthesia Department, Executive Officer Dr Biren Pathak, Oxygen Supply Agency and O&M Agency. They have given a preliminary report that there are no lapses. They will give a detailed report later today.
He further added, In view of further increase in the number of COVID Beds by August, we are already installing Liquid Oxygen Supply Tank at SSG Hospital. This will also be functional in 3-4 days.
