The INIFD centre in Vadodara turns into mini India as the institute students celebrate unity in diversity. As part of their project the students of the first year showcase the history and culture of the states of India.

60 students from 1st year covered historical costumes and culture of 14 states of India and displayed it in teams of about 4 to 5 inside the centre. The stalls displayed the basic history of states, customs and traditions, food, clothing, culture which includes music & dance.

The students dressed in traditional clothes in given state performed dances and also created power point presentations. They brought traditional food and handicraft items as per the state assigned to them which completes the presentation.

The idea was to promote deeper understanding of the richness of our country’s textiles and handicrafts as per particular state which they explore later in their future design projects.
