Mini India theme based show lined up for the second day

The festival of lights Deepavali is just few days away and people already start celebrating to get into the mood of the celebrations. Like every year students of INIFD decked up to celebrate the festival with great fervour with various events lined up for three days.

This Deepavali INIFD Baroda celebrates the festival with programmes like INDIA showcasing the combined history and culture of many states, traditional Rangoli competition, colourful Kandeel competition and a fusion theme Best Dressed competition involving the students of the institute.

Starting with the students prepared the auspicious Rangoli at the institute to start the festive season. With beautiful colours and flowers they prepare rangolis spreading the wishes to the visitors. Some of the students take this opportunity to spread social message like Save Girl Child and others.

On the first day the students walk the ramp wearing fusion based constumes mixing the traditional and western outfits. The speciality of the show was one can’t imagine the type of dress displayed at the show as it is the mixing of both. One can surprised to see the students wrapped the traditional silk saree wearing jeans and jacket and walk the ramp.

A Mini-india themed Fashion Show interspersed with wonderful performances by the Students is scheduled for Day 2.
