District collector Shalini Agrawal welcome the decision and said the step will inspire others in the way to fight the Coronavirus collectively

Industrial organisations from Vadodara city and district voluntarily decide to shut down their business from 23rd March 2020. The aim is to stop spreading Corona and to break the chain. However there is no salary cut for the employees and labourers during this time of shut down.

Around 15000 small and big industries are voluntarily shut down from 23rd March extending their support to fight COVID 19. However Pharma, Mask, API and other basic necessity units are exempted from this shut down.

District collector Shalini Agrawal welcome the decision and said the step will inspire others in the way to fight the Coronavirus collectively. She said the decision will put an example before the others to stand unite against Corona and to save the mankind.

On the instructions of CM, district collector held a meeting of industrial associations seeking their support towards fighting the virus. She later thanked them for their decision for total shutdown to fight COVID 19 and break the chain of spreading the virus. The shutdown will be till 25th March and extend if needed.
