Won the third ODI by six runs

Indian women completed the series after winning the thriller against South Africa at Vadodara. The low scoring third ODI was turned out to be a thriller as Indian bowlers kept their nerves and took the last three wickets in quick succession to win the match by six runs.

Batting first Indian women lost their very first wicket in the form of Priya Punia caught by T. Chetty of the bowling by S. Ismail. The good bowling from South wickets fell in quick succession as India was reduced to 55 for the loss of five wickets with top order already inside the pavilion. Harmanpreet Kaur 38 runs and Shikha Pandey 35 runs are the top scorers of India as the finished 146 all-out in 45.5 overs.

In reply South Africa started cautiously but the Indian bowlers never let them overpower and they lost five wickets in 65 runs in 17.1 overs. A 40 runs sixth wicket partnership steadied the SA innings and the team lost their 6th wicket for 103 runs.

Later the team batting well and at one time they are nearing a win but the Indian bowlers came back well to take the remaining wickets as India won the thriller by six runs. Ekta Bisht took three wickets followed by Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Deepti Sharma who took two wickets each. Mansi Joshi, Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues took one wicket each in the innings.

Ekta Bisht was declared player of the match and Marizanne Kapp as player of the series.
