Various programmes lined up for celebrating its 42nd Raising Day

Indian Coast Guard is celebrating its 42nd Raising Day on 01 Feb 2019. The motive behind these celebrations is to associate with the local denizens and contribute towards the society.

Drawing and Painting Competition will be first of the events at Gandhinagar on 24 Jan 2019. A cultural evening as part of troops get together will be organised on 27 Jan 2019. This will be followed by High tea on 01 Feb 2019 wherein the Coast Guard brochure encompassing a spectrum of information, will be released by the Governer of Gujarat Om Prakash Kohli.

Coast Guard District Headquarters at Porbandar themed their celebrations with a day at sea on 13-14 Jan 2019. Drawing and Painting competition was organised on 19 Jan 2019 and a league of Sports activities like Marathon, Beach Volleyball, Tug of war and Swimming are also scheduled be conducted.

The team shall also be undertaking a special community interaction programme at the fishing hamlets. A dedicated coastal cleanup day –with the punchline “Swachta Hi Seva hai” is also planned for 27 Jan 2019.
Some Sports activities including a divining adventure camp, Blood donation camp and a special coastal clean up day are also planned by end of Jan 2019.

As the fourth largest Coast Guard of the world, the organisation has always been a sentinel of selfless service and security at sea and is recognized by the nation and the international maritime fraternity.
