The Indian Coast Guard formally celebrated its 42nd raising day by commemorating its distinguished and selfless service to the Nation. To mark this occasion, the Headquarters Coast Guard Region (NW) organized an array of programs throughout the month of January, by reaching out to the society with an aim to encourage the denizens specially the youth.

A Coast Guard reception was organized at sector 19 Gymkhana, Gandhinagar before Governer of Gujarat Om Prakash Kohli. The occasion was also graced by dignitaries from State Government, Senior Officers from Indian Armed Forces and local populace. A cake cutting ceremony and unveiling of the Coast Guard Brochure-2019 were the highlights of the event.

This was the tenth consecutive occasion of celebrating the raising day at Gandhinagar, after the establishment of Headquarters, Coast Guard Region (NW). The Region is headed by Inspector General Rakesh Pal, PTM, TM.
