Vadodara NDRF troopers helped evacuate people from two flood-hit villages in Maharashtra

Four teams of the 06 Batallion National Disaster Management Force (NDRF) team at Jarod near Vadodara join rescue and relief operations in flood-hit areas of Maharashtra. The teams were deployed to these areas by air on Saturday.

Giving information about the performance of the teams, Deputy Commander Anupam said that these teams together with the troops of the 5th Battalion helped evacuate the people of Ambegaon and Chikhli villages who were in dire straits due to floodwaters.

These villages are located on Highway No. 166 connecting Ratnagiri. Those evacuated include a pregnant woman, a woman, two elderly couples, two children and a young man. A team is currently working in the areas connecting Sangli.
