The J&K Police Department has inducted 'Black Panther' vehicles for anti-terrorism and surveillance operations

For anti-terror operations in the region, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JK Police) has enlisted 'Black Panther' vehicles. The Black Panther trucks are equipped with cutting-edge technology and surveillance systems, and they were just recruited into the police force. At a ceremony, Director General of Police Dilbag Singh presented Jammu and Kashmir Police with the improved version of Operations Command Vehicles (OCVs), dubbed "Black Panther."

The trucks are fully air-conditioned and equipped with surveillance and security equipment such as CCTV cameras, PTZ cameras, 360-degree view cameras, public address systems, flashlights, advanced medical kits, power backup, and other systems, according to officials. According to the DGP, police would be able to efficiently track a suspect's location with the help of these cars.

He referenced the Nagrota shootout as an example, saying that Operations Command Vehicles were tremendously useful in neutralising the militants. The vehicles have been issued to all ranges of the Kashmir Zone to improve the efficiency and capability of our dedicated personnel, Singh added.

The vehicles have been provided to the Jammu district in the Jammu zone, he said. He stated that the J-K Police Department intends to provide these cars to all districts in both the Kashmir and Jammu zones.
