Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara said as per initial probe, the technique and materials used for the blast at Rameshwaram Cafe were similar to the one used in the Mangaluru blast. He added eight teams have been formed for the probe.
Parameshwara urged the Opposition to cooperate with the investigation and not to give it a political spin.
He added the BJP should not issue negative statements. Though a connection is yet to be established, the technique and materials used for the blast were similar to that used in Mangaluru, the home minister said.

Bengaluru City Crime Branch is probing the blast which occurred on Friday afternoon.
Bengaluru Police have registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosives Substances Act.
The cafe owners on Saturday said they will reopen for business on March 8.
