Rain and thunderstorm bring relief from heatwave conditions in North India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that rainfall will continue at many places across the country today.

According to the IMD, many places in the plains of Northwest India will experience rainfall with thunderstorms.

In addition, the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Tripura will also witness heavy rainfall at isolated places.

The IMD further predicts that there will be no significant change in maximum temperatures over northwest India in the next two days and over the rest of the country in the next five days.
