Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the National Unity Day celebrations at Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat this morning.
PM Modi will also inaugurate various tourist centric facilities at Ekta Nagar and address the Officer Trainees of the 98th Common Foundation Course in Aarambh 5.0.
On the occasion of Sardar Patel Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Statue of Unity in Ektanagar and pay tribute to Sardar Patel from the entire country by worshiping the tallest statue of Sardar vallabh bhai Patel in the world.
He will then attend the celebration of 'National Unity Day' at Ektanagar and observe the unity parade by police personnel and will also take the oath of National Unity Day to all the people.
The Prime Minister will attend the 'Aarambh' (AARAMBH) program and address the officer trainees. Along with this, various development works and tourism attractions will be launched and inaugurated by the Prime Minister, in which 5 projects, 3 tourism attractions and 3 infrastructure projects are going to be launched and inaugurated under the Green Initiative.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch and inaugurate these five projects on the occasion of Sardar Patel Jayanti, including 30 e-buses, public bike sharing, distribution of city gas by Gujarat Gas Limited.
As a part of the green initiative, the authority will replace diesel-powered buses with electric buses to transport tourists around the Statue of Unity premises. Along with this, the authority has planned a cycle sharing system to provide tourists with a holistic experience of Ektanagar and to provide them with a green mode of transportation.
A visitors center will be constructed at a cost of around ₹ 100 crore for tourists visiting Ektanagar, which will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister today.
Along with this, Kamalam Park, built at a cost of ₹7.5 crore, will also be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
A 150 meter walkway with 2 frisking booths has been constructed at Ektanagar at a cost of ₹ 7.5 crore for the convenience of tourists.
The walkway will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister. Along with this, a sub-district hospital with a capacity of 50 beds and a trauma center facility will be constructed here with an aim to increase health care facilities for tourists.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Sahakar Bhavan of Gujarat State Co-operative Bank Ltd., constructed at a cost of ₹81 crore at Ektanagar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate a weekly train between Ahmedabad and Ektanagar at Ekta Nagar today.
This weekly train has been started every Sunday for the convenience of tourists coming to visit the Statue of Unity.
Pradeep Sharma, Public Relations Officer of Vadodara Division of Western Railway, while giving the details of this train, said that this train will depart from Ahmedabad at 06:10 am every Sunday and depart from Ahmedabad at 9:50 am.
Will reach Ektanagar. The train will leave Ekta Nagar at 8:35 PM and reach Ahmedabad at 12:05 PM. Tourists will also get dining facility in this train.
