Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat beginning today.
During his visit, Mr Modi is scheduled inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth around 5800 crore rupees in Mehsana today.
Prime Minister will also offer prayers at the famous Ambaji temple in Banaskantha today.
Tomorrow, Mr Modi will participate in the National Unity Day celebrations at Statue of Unity and will also inaugurate various tourist centric facilities at Ekta Nagar.
Prime Minister will also address the Officer Trainees of the 98th Common Foundation Course in Aarambh 5.0.
The projects of multiple sectors like rail, road, drinking water and irrigation will be launched at Dabhoda in Mehsana district today. These projects will benefit seven districts of North and central Gujarat including Banaskantha, Mehsana, Patan, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. PM will launch the New Bhandu-New Sanand(N) section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) built at the cost of around 3000 crore rupees. He will also launch 182 kilometres doubling project of Viramgam - Samakhiali rail line; Katosan Road- Bechraji Rail Project.Mr Modi will also inaugurate project for recharge of various village lakes of Mehsana and Gandhinagar districts.Apart from this, Valasana barrage on Sabarmati river in Mehsana District; two schemes for providing drinking water , Banaskantha; and the Dharoi dam based Palanpur lifeline project will also be launched today. Pm will lay the foundation Stone of irrigation project in Santrampur taluka of Mahisagar District; widening and strengthening of Naroda - Dehgam - Harsol - Dhansura Road, in Sabarkantha; projects for sewage treatment plants in Palanpur, Siddhpur, Bayad and Vadnagar in North Gujarat.
