PM Modi to leave on a 3-day visit to US today
The US visit will mark Prime Minister Modi’s first foreign tour in six months.
The US visit will mark Prime Minister Modi's first foreign tour in six months . It will also be the first time he will be visiting the country after President Joe Biden assumed office. He will participate in the first in-person Quad , a grouping of India, US, Australia and Japan - leaders' summit in the White House.
Virtually addressing the Quad summit in March this year, the Prime Minister said QUAD is an important pillar of stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Mr Modi will also meet top American CEOs during his visit .
After concluding his engagements in Washington, the Prime Minister will travel to New York. He will address the General Debate of the High-Level Segment of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 25th in New York.
