Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a speech to the country ahead of today's session of Parliament. PM Modi stated that this meeting is crucial because the country is commemorating Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

"This session of Parliament is very important. The country is celebrating Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, in all four directions in India, for the purpose of constructive, positive, public interest, for the national interest, the common citizens are doing many programs for the Amrit festival of freedom," the Prime Minister said.

The citizens desire a constructive session, according to the Prime Minister, because "they are fulfilling their responsibilities for a brighter future." He also urged all political parties to respect parliamentary decorum, saying that the government is eager to respond to all questions during the Winter Session.

In addition, Prime Minister Modi addressed the threat posed by the Omicron COVID-19 variation, which the World Health Organization (WHO) identified as a variant of concern earlier this month."After the last session, even in the dire situation of corona, the country has crossed the figure of 100 crore doses of vaccines and is moving towards 150 crores. The news of new variant also makes us more alert and cautious," he underscored.

Meanwhile, the Farm Laws Repeal Bill will be introduced today by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. At 11:00 a.m., the winter session will begin. The bill will be introduced by Narendra Singh Tomar, and it will repeal three agriculture laws as well as revise the Essential Commodities Act of 1955.

Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020; Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 are the three farm laws that will be repealed.
