The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) released a list on January 25 with the names of those who will receive Padma awards this year. The Padma Awards will be presented to a total of 128 individuals from various fields.

There are four Padma Vibhushan awards, 17 Padma Bhushan awards, and 107 Padma Shri awards on the list. There are 34 women among the 128 awards, and the list also contains 10 foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI and 13 posthumous awardees.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, who passed away last year, will be awarded the Padma Vibhushan for Public Affairs posthumously. Posthumously, late CDS General Bipin Rawat will be awarded the Padma Vibhushan for Civil Service. Meanwhile, Ghulam Nabi Azad, a Congress leader, will be awarded the Padma Bhushan for Public Service.
