Over 97 crore 79 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country so far, recovery rate is at 98.12 per cent

India has administered over 97 crore 79 lakh doses of COVID vaccine so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Union Health Ministry said, more than 12 lakh five thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry said, 19 thousand 582 COVID patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate has reached 98.12 per cent. Till now, more than three crore 34 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19.

The country reported 13 thousand 596 new cases in last 24 hours. Currently, India's active caseload is around one lakh 89 thousand. The active cases constitute less than one per cent of the total cases and it is currently at 0.56 per cent, the lowest since March last year. The daily positivity rate stands at 1.37 per cent.

The Ministry said, the testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded and more than 59 crore 19 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
