Kanta Prasad of 'Baba Ka Dhaba' admitted to ICU, may be a case of attempt to suicide

New Delhi: The condition of Kanta Prasad (81), who runs 'Baba Ka Dhaba', worsened after consuming sleeping pills. He has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in a critical condition, where he is undergoing treatment. In the initial investigation, the police have expressed apprehension that Baba had attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills. Presently the investigation of the matter is going on. Police sources also told that Kanta Prasad's wife has told that she had opened the restaurant in December 2020, which did not work. From there they made a lot of losses.

DCP South Atul Thakur says that Kanta Prasad's son Karna has told the police that Kanta Prasad had consumed sleeping pills after drinking alcohol on Thursday night. As his condition worsened, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital, where he has been admitted to the ICU.

According to the police, at around 11:15 pm on Thursday, information was received from Safdarjung Hospital that a person has been brought in a critical condition, who has taken sleeping pills. When the police reached the spot, the man was identified as Kanta Prasad, who runs Baba's Dhaba in Malviya Nagar area. In the initial interrogation, Kanta Prasad's wife told that in December 2020, Baba had opened a restaurant on rent in Malviya Nagar area itself, which could not work. His rent was Rs. 100000 a month, while the total earning from restaurants was Rs. 30000. Because of this, the restaurant was closed and a few days ago the dhaba was started again.

Kanta Prasad, who ran Baba's dhaba , came in the headlines during the lockdown last year. When a video related to him was shown on YouTube. In which it was also told that the dhaba is not running due to the lockdown and the elderly couple running the dhaba is going through a crisis.

There was also a dispute with YouTube, the special thing is that YouTuber Gaurav Vasan, who had helped Baba, was also accused by Baba of money laundering and an FIR was also lodged in this regard at Malviya Nagar police station. . However, when Baba started this Dhaba again, after that I had reached the YouTuber Baba's Dhaba and he had claimed that he has come here to help Baba.
