International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Headquartered at London, United Kingdom conferred the 'Certificate of Commendation' to Indian Coast Guard for an exceptional act of bravery displayed by the courageous officers and men namely Commandant B Bhatt, Satish (Pradhan Adhikari), Abhishek Tomar (Navik) and Kaushik Nautiyal (Navik) for undertaking the skillful towing while maintaining firefighting operation of ablaze MT New Diamond which caught fire on 03 September 2020 off Sri Lankan coast and was drifting towards coast laden with dangerous inflammable cargo.
