FM Sitharaman to discuss issues related to development, growth at India's maiden IFSC at GIFT city today

Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman is on a day-long visit to GIFT city at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. She is scheduled to discuss issues related to development and growth at India's maiden International Financial Services Centre- IFSC at GIFT city today.

The discussions are likely to be focused on the role of GIFT- IFSC as gateway to global financial services for Indian corporates.

Ms. Sitharaman is leading the team of senior officials of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. She will also interact with the capital markets entities and banking and insurance entities located at GIFT city later today.
