The Directorate of Civil Aviation, DGCA has suspended the licence of an Air India pilot for one year for allowing an unauthorised person into the cockpit of the Chandigarh-Leh flight.

In a statement, DGCA said, the first officer did not raise any concern about the unauthorised entry of the person into the cockpit.

The incident took place on the 3rd of this month on the Air India flight (Chandigarh to Leh) and the unauthorised person remained in the cockpit throughout the flight.

The aviation regulator said, based on the outcome of its investigation, the licence of the first officer pilot has also been suspended for a period of one month for not being assertive in preventing and non-reporting the violation.
