Army has foiled a major infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) by capturing alive a Pakistani terrorist, who was trying to sneak into Kashmir along with several other terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). It has also killed seven of terrorists in an operation that lasted for 10 days.

The 19-year-old terrorist, identified as Ali Babar Patra of Dipalpur in Okara district of Pakistan's Punjab province, was taken into custody by the Indian Army which allowed him to surrender amidst intense gunfire being resorted to by his associates. Major General Virendra Vats, General Officer Commander of 19 Infantry Division, said that Patra was allowed to surrender after he pleaded for life. The Major General said altogether seven terrorists were killed while Patra was captured alive.
