Ahead of the third day of Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioning, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi visited his mother Sonia Gandhi at a Delhi hospital late at night on Tuesday.

She was to appear before the ED on June 8 and had sought more time from the probe agency, which has now issued a fresh summons to her to appear on June 23.
11 hours by the ED for the second consecutive day in the National Herald money-laundering probe and was again summoned on Wednesday, even as the opposition party continued its protests and sparred with the BJP, accusing it of conspiring to defame the Gandhi family through the ''false'' case.
Gandhi, 51, who was quizzed for over 10 hours a day earlier, arrived on Tuesday at the ED headquarters on APJ Abdul Kalam Road in central Delhi accompanied by his sister and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and his questioning began at 11:30am.
After a session of about four hours, Gandhi took a break for about an hour at around 3:30pm and went home. He rejoined the questioning around 4:30pm.
Gandhi left the ED headquarters around 11.30pm.
Hundreds of Congress leaders and supporters were detained outside the party headquarters at 24, Akbar Road and around central Delhi as they tried to hold a protest against the ED action for the second day.
The Delhi Police said that it detained 217 Congress workers and leaders, including 15 MPs, from the New Delhi district on Tuesday for holding protests in violation of prohibitory orders and despite being denied permission.
They were later released, a police official said. The BJP hit out at the opposition party, saying it is blocking roads to show its "leaders are above the law" and termed the protests "drama".
"When lawful action is taking place in a case of corruption, Congress is doing this drama and blocking roads... it shows the party considers its leaders above law," BJP's national spokesperson Sambit Patra said.
