Independence Day rehearsals at WR police parade ground amidst rains

74th Independence Day celebrations will be held on Saturday at parade ground in Vadodara

The district level celebration of the 74th Independence Day of India has been organized on Saturday 15th August, 2020 at the Western Railway Police Parade Ground behind Kothi Kuber Bhavan in Vadodara city.

On this day at 9.00 am Minister of State for Narmada Development Yogesh Patel will do the flag hoisting at the ground. On this occasion the invited Corona Warriors will be honored by him. The celebration will conclude with planting of saplings.

Parade and other programmes are also lined up by the forces during the Independence Day celebrations. On Friday a full dress rehearsal was held at the designated ground under the guidance of District Development Officer Kiran Zaveri amidst rainy weather. The whole programmes is planned in view of the Coronavirus guidelines.

Road and building department put up waterproof Shamiyana at the place keeping in mind of rains might disrupt the celebrations. Top officials including Additional Collector Dilip Patel, District Police Chief, Deputy Commissioner of Police were present at the rehearsals.
