Further intensify the protest if their Demands are not settled

Income Tax Employees Federation and Income Tax Gazetted Officers Association (Joint Council of Action) observed one day token strike regarding their long pending demands. The strike was based on the series of agitation programme planed by the employees.

The central JCA decided the path of agitation on their various issues affecting their members. They decided a 10 point chart of demands and raised the issues with the board for immediate settlement. In case of not resolving their issues the employees threaten to intensify their agitation.

The demands are early promotion from ITO to ACIT, finalising all pending recruitment rules, filling up all huge vacant posts, effect of higher pay scale for ITI’s and ITO’s, regularisation of ad hoc ACsIT of 2014-15, 15-16 and 16-17 batches, temporary re allocation of posts of inspectors to the charges where stagnation is acute in the cadre of inspector, removal of stagnation in the cadre of ITO and revival of the proposal of commensurate posts in AO/PS cadres, immediate improvement of infrastructure and proper training relating to ITBA, Regularisation of casual workers as a onetime measure and merging of the cadre staff car drivers with the mainstream cadres.

The JCA further requested to settle their demands at the earliest and hold many demonstrations and programmes in this regard along with the token strike on 19th June 2018. They also threaten to intensify the agitation in case the issues still remain unresolved which include black flag demonstration before the officials, boycotting of survey and search and seizure operation, half day walkout and one day strike.
