Improper power supply affects commercials and Industrialists in Ankleshwar

Shopkeepers and entrepreneurs from over half a dozen commercial complexes in Ankleshwar GIDC today staged a protest against the Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company (DGVCL) and alleged that the power supply company has failed to provide adequate electricity in them.

Issue rose following frequent power cut in the area while on Thursday about ten hours unplanned power cut has disturbed routine business in the region.

Vicky Panchal a real estate broker having office in the region while speaking to connect Gujarat said, “Improper power supply from DGVCL in hot summer is disturbing our business, ten hour long power cut – even invertors are helpless.”

Shopkeepers from Hexone arcade in Ankleshwar planned to protest the issue in front of district collector. Pravin Jain a chemist having medical store in the area said, “We are facing heavy loss due to long and frequent power cuts, many of the tablets and injections needs to store in refrigeration but due to power cuts we can’t do so which is resulting into a loss of materials.”

Jayesh Kedariya, Executive Engineer for DGVCL Ankleshwar Industrial region while replaying to CG correspondent said, “Pre Monsoon activities and routine staggering are the reason behind the recent power cuts.” While regarding specific complaints he said he will personally into the matter and assured to resolve the same.
