Implementation of Model Code of Conduct in view of Karjan by election

Texts, posters, banners on public and private property are being removed

In view of the 147 Karjan Assembly seat by-election, the responsibility of strict implementation of the Code of Conduct has been handed over to B.B. Chaudhary, the nodal officer and Director of District Rural Development Agency. The implementation is also being monitored by the sitting election officer and the provincial officer, Karjan.

As part of this, the work of erasing / removing writings of political nature, posters, banners, stickers, etc. from public and private properties in the assembly constituency area is currently underway.

Under this, by 3/10, 26 publications on public property, 65 posters, 42 banners and 143 stickers / flags have been found and a total of 276 materials have been removed. While 59 banners and 122 stickers have been removed from private properties.
